The Everyday Routine

Misty was standing in front of the mirror, examining her face. She released a heavy sigh before leaning her head on the bathroom mirror.
She experienced pain with every breath she took. She had no more tears left to fall from her eyes.
Her shaky hands opened the tap to wash her face carefully. She flinched every time the cold water touched her face.
She looked down at the makeup products scattered around the sink. She reached for the makeup and started to do her daily routine to hide her bruises before going to work.
"It's just another day," she whispered.
