A couple holding hands.
A couple holding hands.

Our relationship began with betrayal; both of us had cheated on our partners. Yet, I felt he was different from others. I knew he was the one, so we left our partners to be together.

I should have known other girls would feel the same.

As I scrolled through his phone, I smirked at the countless flirty messages and thought,

"Stupid girls."

I glanced at him, relaxing peacefully beside me on the bed.

"I warned you, didn’t I, sweetheart?" I whispered near his ear while gently combing through his hair.

A heavy sigh escaped me when I noticed his chest had stopped rising.

It was time to dig a hole in the backyard.
